Lots of people have many items of clothing they have only worn a handful of times and very often never worn at all. Some ladies only like to wear items once or maybe like myself, you see an outfit, love it, have to have it, only to get it home and realise that you will never actually wear it. Now, come on ladies admit it, I am not on my own here!
So what do we do with all these unwanted next to new items? We leave them in our wardrobes for months, sometimes years thinking "I might wear that one day" until eventually we've had it so long we can justify either giving it to charity, a friend or putting it in the bin. This of course is great for charities/friends but no so good for us!
This is where The Designer Dress Agency steps in. You contact me either by phone or email, I will come and collect free of charge from Cheshire, Manchester or Merseyside and I will sell them for you. All you need to do is sort out the unwanted items and put them to one side for me, and that's it. I do the rest. I also advertise in the Cheshire Life, Yellow pages and local newspapers and I always carry identification with me for verification. Furthermore, you can be assured of 100% discretion at all times.
I will then sell your items online. I will photograph your clothes on a mannequin so they will be presented in the best possible way. By selling on line I am not relying on local people coming into my shop. My shop is accessed by the World on a daily basis and I currently have over 2000 visitors a day and this is rising. Selling this way means I can get the best price for you in a reasonably short space of time.
From collection to payment usually takes between 4 & 8 weeks depending on the quantity of items. My policy on quantity is the more the merrier (within reason). I have clients that give me about 15 items at a time, to clients that give me up to 300 hundred items.
It is very important that the items you want to sell are in excellent saleable condition. All buttons present, clean etc. If in doubt ask your Mum or friend if she would buy it in its current condition, if the answer is no, then the chances are no one else will buy it. The better condition an item is in, the more money you will get.
I only accept items that are designer, classic or vintage. I will not sell items from high street fashion shops such as New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Ethel Austin's etc. I will take items from the Kate Moss range at Top Shop but nothing else from Top Shop. The only reason why is because they are so inexpensive to buy in the shop that people don't want them second hand. I will accept any top end designer such as Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Vivienne Westwood, Prada, Chloe, Gucci, Jimmy Choo. I will also accept high street designers such as Monsoon, Per Una, DKNY, Karen Millen & Laura Ashley. Irrespective of this, if an item is very unusual, unique or different I would love to sell it for you. The age of items in not important.
I only take 50% of the price an item sells for, this is extremely competitive. I have no restrictions on how much a client can ask for an item, however, I will give my advice if an amount is unrealistic. It is better to let an item find its own level in the current market.
